Project Context & Background

Subject

This project was created for the subject "Skills Integration Lab 2" during my second year at Thomas More in Geel.

Team Members

It was created by my group MCL-1, which consists of Yme Clonen, Thomas De Clerck, Mauro Leonardo, Brent Janssen, Jaro Wagner, and myself.

Purpose & Description

This project is an exercise to train us in working with a client, collaborating better in a team, creating high-quality prototypes, and designing a website. Our version is a prototype for managing a table tennis club. We created a full Use Case Diagram and a prototype in Figma.

Where We Worked

We worked on this project during the first semester of my second year studying IT at Thomas More in Geel. Most of the work was done at home, with about 3 hours per week on campus.

My Contributions

The tasks I contributed to this project include:

  • Use Case "Live score ingeven"
  • Figma prototype for "Live score ingeven"
  • Reviewing details on every page of our reports, presentations, and Figma designs.

Project Realisation

Use Case Diagram

A Use Case Diagram visually represents how users interact with the system. For us, it showed how visitors and TTC Westel themselves would interact with it.

Jira

We used Jira to manage our tasks and workflow. Unfortunately, our project was deleted on Jira, so I don’t have any screenshots to show.

Final Presentation

This was our final presentation for the client where we wrapped everything up. I presented the use case "Live score ingeven."

Clockify

With Clockify, we tracked the time we spent working on the project. I logged a total of 18 hours, 19 minutes, and 31 seconds.

Figma

In Figma, we created the prototype for the requested website. I designed the section for the use case "Live score ingeven."

Final Report

In this report there are the use cases with diagram and descriptions, a MoSCoW, a bibliography, a jargon list , a table of figures, and a final conclusion.

What I've Learned

Opening Up Faster

At the start of this project, I was very shy and nervous to work with my new team. It wasn’t until we sat down together after our first buddy-check that those feelings disappeared.

Managing Stress

Every time we had a deadline or client meeting, I would stress way too much—mainly due to self-doubt. But like always, I was just stressing for no reason.

Learning Figma

This was my first time working with a program like Figma. I learned a lot from my fellow students, and now I (usually) don’t have any problems with it.

Tracking Work Hours

This was also my first time tracking my work hours. After the project, I realized some tasks take a lot more time than expected.
